What started as a showcase for Throne of Blood's roster and core team has grown over the years into something much bigger than expected. Over the past three and a half years our podcast series has covered a lot of ground- musically and geographicall. They've been played hundreds of thousands of times and helped bring this little label to life.
That's why it's so exciting when folks we don't know reach out and ask to be a part of Throne of Blood. For the fortieth edition of the Throne of Blood Podcast we are proud to present this mix from the Leeds-based crew Clandestino. If this mix of balearic flavors is any indication, their forthcoming single on Is It Balearic? is one to watch out for...

Between his early output on Jef K’s Crack & Speed (which he helped manage) and his own Marketing imprint (listen to 2008’s “Ame Agaru”), his collaboration with Ivan Smagghe as It’s A Fine Line, or his solo LP “Dancers” on MFR, we have always been fans of Tim Paris. So we’re very happy he found time to make us a mix for Throneof Blood's podcast series.
Listen close, it’s a good one.
It's not every day that a stranger reaches out to Throne of Blood to say they love one of our releases and would like to create a podcast mix to help contextualize it. But that's exactly what happened recently when Arkansas native Baby Armie hit us up on Twitter last week. He called MOON ROCK VOLUME 1 "one of 2014's best #ambient releases" and then DM'ed us to offer up this mix for our podcast series. We're humbled by the kind words and support and equally blown away by the mix itself... Heavy heavy vibes here. Tune in and space out...
